About Maliq
Maliq is a Croatian design studio focused on textile and pattern design. Besides its permanent collections, Maliq designs custom-made textile products for its customers to adorn the interiors they live in. The collections feature a recognizable signature inspired by ethnographic elements and textures authentic to Slavonia, the author’s native region.
The patterns, illustrations, combinations of colors, shapes and words make the surfaces come to life, and are sourced from a genuine, intrinsic feeling channeled over the visual, but eternally embedded in writing.

“Learn from everyone and everything – your breath will be peaceful if by fulfilling yourself you don’t empty others. Shield those with holes in their cloak; it will be soul-patching and meaningful to eons.”
Prologue #1
Behind Maliq
Dijana Vojak Pokić received her master’s degree in textile design
from the Faculty of Textile Technology at the University of Zagreb in 2016. As
an active textile designer she has taken part in twenty-odd domestic and
international textile design and art exhibitions.
She had worked as a designer in one of the leading Croatian rug design companies when in 2019 she set up her own Maliq Studio.
In 2020 she committed herself to the design of her own collections of textile items. Her emotional visual language can be seen in her abstract and somewhat melancholic design resting solely on her personal heritage, knowledge and feelings.
